| 野三坡开发之初，是一个每天只有一趟火车通过的闭塞山村，当时其原始落后境况，中国作家协会主席铁凝笔下的《哦，香雪》给予了真实的写照。当1986年第一批游客通过火车涌入野三坡时，这里连个招待所都没有，面对拥挤在拒马河谷的游客，乡亲们从呆望到接纳、接待，从腾住房到建农家院，从盖平房到建楼房，一路走了二十多年，不断地满足着游客数量逐年增多的需求，农民参与了旅游业，许多变成业主了，也自然从贫穷到富裕进而步入了小康。 At the beginning of Yesanpo's development, it was a blocked mountain village that only one train passed every day.
